There's a realness that is so refreshing, appealing and actually uplifting, when I am photographing someone who is comfortable with who they are. They stand in front of the camera exuding positivity, authenticity, no fear, no pretence, just happy in their own skin. There's no talk of selfie filters, no pouting, no submitting to peer pressure, expectations or anyone else's approval. They stand there in front of you, eager for the clicking to start, with a smile that's warm and sincere, but leaving you in no doubt 'this is who I am, take it or leave it'. That's my kind of human.
